Tyler, TX (February 27 , 2018) – Premier Equestrian, known for its exceptional and versatile arena footing for national and international venues, recently completed a project at the 1,700-acre Texas Rose Horse Park in Tyler, Texas. The facility is run by Kathy Brunson since she and her late husband bought the fledgling ranch in 2007. Brunson has since transformed it into a showplace Texans are rightly proud of. Today the horse park boasts 350 permanent stalls, an indoor arena with cantina, beginner through advanced cross-country courses, RV hookups and six outdoor arenas for multiple discipline shows and events. And what is the most important element for exhibitors? The quality of the footing, of course. That’s where Premier Equestrian came in.
“We decided to use Premier because everyone showed such professionalism,” says Brunson. “Heidi [Zorn, president of Premier Equestrian] sent us samples and came out and did a site tour. She explained everything to us and then we decided what geotextiles would go with the new sand.”
Brunson felt comfortable making decisions as they began transforming the much-used main outdoor arena, “The one we typically use for all our top A shows,” she adds. “We call it the ‘Premier Ring’.” The other rings are on schedule to be refurbished in the near future. Brunson’s confidence was complete when Premier’s arena consultant, Keri Homer, came out and showed my staff how to install the footing. She stayed with us until everyone knew what to do. It was just very helpful. She even showed us how to work and maintain our brand new Premier Pro Groomer.” The Pro Groomer is a state of the art arena groomer that combines the ability to compact, or perfectly groom arena surfaces in just one pass. “She went out of her way to teach us about the mix and how to care for it.”
Now Texas Rose Horse Park can continue to proudly serve both Western and English horse communities as well as hosting non-equestrian events. The facility runs numerous top-rated shows for dressage, hunter/jumper, eventers and breeders as well as rated dog agility trials, clinics and drill competitions. Many of these events are free to the public. Last but not least, the Brunson Equestrian Center offers riding lessons and horse training programs as well as a summer riding camps.
