Wellington, FL (January 5, 2016) — Premier Equestrian is returning to the Adequan Global Dressage Festival (AGDF) in 2016 as an official sponsor and partner of the major show series, and is once again presenting the Premier Equestrian Award throughout the competition. The award is given to competitors who demonstrate exemplary sportsmanship toward every horse and human that they encounter at the international show, therefore being worthy of the title of “Premier Equestrian.”
Premier Equestrian, a leading provider of dressage arenas and arena footing, is excited to present the Premier Equestrian Award to dressage riders at each of the CDI competitions at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival. “We take pride in recognizing riders who are not only competitive, but also kind and friendly to other competitors and show staff, put their horses first, and contribute to a positive overall atmosphere,” says Heidi Zorn, president and founder of Premier Equestrian. “Premier Equestrian is dedicated to dressage and our goal is to provide safe and functional products. We want to promote the well-being of the horse and industry, and we are proud to sponsor this award.”
Riders who demonstrate these values will receive a lovely tri-colored Premier Equestrian Award ribbon, an engraved plaque, and the title of “Premier Equestrian.” Premier Equestrian is confident that this award will let competitors know that their outstanding attitudes are being noticed and appreciated, and will encourage all riders to enter the show ring with winning spirits.
The award’s name is based on the title that Premier Equestrian uses when referring to the elite group of internationally successful equestrians who demonstrate positive attitudes and qualities—including Akiko Yamazaki, Linda Parelli, and dressage riders Steffen Peters, Laura Graves, Debbie McDonald, Adrienne Lyle, along with show jumper Luca Moneta. These official “Premier Equestrians” can serve as role models to those who aspire to earn the Premier Equestrian Award at the 2016 Adequan Globlal Dressage Festival.
“Our Premier Equestrians are people dedicated to the development and preservation of horse sport,” states Kathryn Rustad, Premier Equestrian’s Internal Marketing Director. “These people have accomplished high levels of competition, generated awareness of the sport, shared knowledge and training techniques to better serve the industry, or have impacted the equestrian culture through their kindness, support, and good sportsmanship.”
A past Premier Equestrian Award winner, Greta Wrigley, summed up the company’s values well when she said, “I really love the sport of dressage. I want to make it fun for everybody else. If there is something I can do to make it easy or help someone else, for me, that is what it is all about.”
Another Premier Equestrian Award winner, German rider Marcus Orlob, added, “I think showing should be fun for the horse. It’s important that they feel the inspiration from you to feel good.”
Premier Equestrian keeps an eye out for individuals like Wrigley at competitions like the upcoming South Florida show series to recognize those that demonstrate exemplary sportsmanship.
The upcoming 2016 Adequan Global Dressage Festival will feature twelve weeks of world-class dressage competition in Wellington, Florida. Equestrian Sports Productions, the host of the Adequan Global Dressage Festival, is grateful to sponsors like Premier Equestrian for making the fifth annual Adequan Global Dressage Festival possible. Mark Bellissimo, CEO of Equestrian Sports Productions, comments, “With the support of the many dedicated sponsors at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival, we have worked from the beginning to inspire the sport of dressage in America and take it to the next level.”
