Parker, CO (June 7, 2017) – Popular riding arena, arena footing, and jump company Premier Equestrian is on a mission this summer to reward the most dedicated, driven dressage rides at The Colorado Horse Park. The company is recognizing individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the sport of dressage throughout The Colorado Horse Park’s summer Dressage in the Rockies show series. The first Premier Equestrian Award of the 2017 series was presented to dynamo rider and trainer Morgan Barrows at the Dressage at High Prairie I, II, III & CDI show, which took place June 2 – 4 at the Parker, Colorado venue.
Barrows not only received the Premier Equestrian Award at the show, but also claimed stellar victories in the FEI Grand Prix 2017 and the FEI Grand Prix Special aboard 14-year-old Oldenburg gelding Royal Konig (Rubin Royal x Pica Ramira).
Barrows, of Seattle, Washington, has been competing since the age of nine. At the age of 21, she founded her own business, Zoo Station Dressage, where she has since built a successful training career and a loyal base of clientele. Barrow’s passion for the sport and unrelenting initiative made her an ideal selection for the Premier Equestrian Award, which recognizes individuals who truly embody the values of commitment, sportsmanship, and dedication that elevate the sport of dressage to both an art form and a way of life.
According to Barrows, achieving business success and finding fulfillment in the world of horse training is a matter of seeking out the right people and developing positive relationships with them.
“I’ve had many of my clients for 10 to 15 years, so a lot of long-time clients. I’m very blessed to have such super people to work with,” remarked Barrows.
Thanks to Barrows’ hard work and unwavering dedication, Zoo Station Dressage is thriving now more than ever. “In fact, right now, we’re actually looking to transition to a bigger barn to accommodate the growth of the business,” she said.
Premier Equestrian was honored to recognize Barrows for her achievements and commitment to the development of the sport of dressage. The company will continue to present the award to inspiring individuals at The Colorado Horse Park’s Dressage in the Rockies competition series, which will take place through August of this year.
