Wellington, FL (April 3, 2018) – This Glass doesn’t crack under pressure, which is why Premier Equestrian chose FEI Grand Prix rider Kasey Perry-Glass to receive its Premier Equestrian silver plate trophy and tricolor at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival in Wellington, Florida.

Perry-Glass, riding Diane Perry’s 16.3 hand, 15 year-old black Danish (Diamond Hit x La Costa x Olympic Ferro) Warmblood gelding Goerklintgaards Dublet, delivered a series of slam-dunk dressage scores during the twelfth and final week of the Adequan Global Dressage Festival, winning the Open FEI Grand Prix (73.217%) and then riding to one of the finest scores of the season (76.125%) to win the FEI Grand Prix Freestyle.

“Watching Grand Prix after Grand Prix, and the top riders in the country, has been fun and can only improve my own riding,” said the Wellington native as she accepted her Premier Equestrian award. In the time where Perry-Glass was not in the ring she was helping out her fellow riders by “grooming” for them and being the best sideline cheerleader. “It’d been eight months since I had been in the show ring, and he was brilliant. I’m lucky to be back on him, and he felt hot and fresh, and ready to go!”

One of the attributes that especially impressed Premier Equestrian and their decision to present Perry-Glass with the Premier Equestrian award was her high degree of sportsmanship.

“This is a team sport,” Perry-Glass said. “There’s only one event where you ride as an individual and that’s the Freestyle. Otherwise, when you help build a team around you, you not only better the team you better yourself. It’s important to encourage your fellow competitors. We’re all out there trying to have fun and do our best.”

Even Perry-Glass jokes that she can’t always pronounce her equine partner’s full name, but she knows exactly what to say when asked what’s coming next for this high-scoring pair.

“Tryon and, maybe, Europe. We’ll see if the World Equestrian Games (hosted at the Tryon International Equestrian Center) are in our cards and take it one day at a time.”

These days, the future looks as bright for this Premier Equestrian as her smile and the rhinestones shining on her stock tie. To see more follow this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ft67cucFk4E
