Everglades Dressage’s Rose and Bethany Peslar Win Premier Equestrian Award for Contributions to the Dressage Community

Wellington, FL (March 11, 2016) — Each week of the 2016 Adequan Global Dressage Festival in Wellington, Florida, the world-class arena footing company and official show sponsor Premier Equestrian honors hard-working equestrians who display outstanding sportsmanship, attitude, and dedication to the sport of dressage. The most recent recipient of the Premier Equestrian Award was Rose and Bethany Peslar of Everglades Dressage, a founding sponsor of the Adequan Global Dressage Festival, who returned again this year to sponsor the show series’ prestigious Palm Beach Dressage Derby.

As the first CDI to ever be held in Florida, the Palm Beach Dressage Derby holds historic significance for the Wellington community and has grown to be one of the most beloved dressage shows in the world. Having supported the Palm Beach Dressage Derby and Adequan Global Dressage Festival since its inception, Wellington area training and breeding facility Everglades Dressage was eager to return in 2016 as the title sponsor of the internationally celebrated Derby event.

“We love the dressage community, and we’re very excited to be here to support our fellow equestrians. It’s just a lot of fun,” said Rose Peslar. Keen supporters of equestrian programs in the U.S., the Peslars also present The Everglades Dressage Rider Achievement Award throughout the 2016 show series to congratulate competitors’ talents and efforts.

As founding sponsors of the Adequan Global Dressage Festival, the Peslars are partially responsible for building what is now recognized as one of the world’s premier dressage circuits. Everglades Dressage has become a staple of the dressage community of southern Florida, and Premier Equestrian is proud to honor Rose and Bethany Peslar for their constant, long-term commitment to the sport. The mother and daughter team were presented with a tri-colored ribbon, an engraved plaque, and the title of “Premier Equestrian.”

“We wouldn’t want to be anywhere else,” said Rose’s daughter, Bethany, who discovered dressage serendipitously when she took a lesson to improve her seat for her hunter classes — and fell in love with the sport, going on to earn her USDF gold medal in 2003 at age 21. “Part of what we love about dressage is the people, and we feel very lucky to have been here from the beginning and to be a part of this community.”

Everglades Dressage’s sponsorship of the Adequan Global Dressage Festival, said the Peslars, is one of the best ways they can think of to encourage their fellow equestrians and help the Wellington dressage community continue to grow. “It really is a challenge to do well in this sport,” said Rose. “When you do, it’s a major accomplishment, and we want to recognize that.”

Premier Equestrian was happy to recognize the Peslars for their contributions. Premier Equestrian will continue to present the Premier Equestrian Award each CDI week during the 12-week Adequan Global Dressage Festival to honor riders who contribute to a positive overall atmosphere in the dressage world. Premier Equestrian hopes that this award will let competitors know that their outstanding attitudes are noticed and appreciated, and will encourage all riders to enter the show ring in winning spirits.

Premier Equestrian is proud to offer continued support of the dressage community as an Official Partner and Sponsor of the 2016 Adequan Global Dressage Festival show series. The company offers high-quality and affordable products to dressage riders— including premier dressage arenas, world-class arena footing, revolutionized horse jumps, and accessories.
