Wellington, FL (February 4, 2019) – Charlotte Bredahl already loves every aspect of her recently appointed position as the U.S Dressage Development Coach by US Equestrian, and her ever present enthusiasm for the sport of dressage simply radiates, especially during Week 3 of the Adequan Global Dressage Festival (AGDF). Working with some of the best dressage riders and trainers in the world, Bredahl is in her element as the excitement ramps up this season in Wellington, Florida. “After all the years of riding and competing myself, and after all the years of judging, I now love helping people achieve their own goals,” Bredahl says. Heidi Zorn, President and Co-founder of Premier Equestrian, recognizes Bredahl’s heartfelt dedication to equestrian sport, which is why she is excited to name Bredahl as a Premier Equestrian by presenting her with the Premier Equestrian Award.
Premier Equestrian – an industry leader in manufacturing world-class footing, and quality dressage arenas and accessories, values outstanding people such as Bredahl and strives to recognize their exemplary character through the Premier Equestrian Award. As a part of being named a Premier Equestrian, Bredahl was presented with a striking tricolor ribbon and engraved Premier Equestrian Award commemorative plaque.
“I just love being able to give back to the riders,” Bredahl explains, “I’ve been reaching out to all the riders in the program and trying to meet up with them and discuss what the future holds, what their goals are, and how I can help them in any way.” Bredahl’s responsibilities as the U.S Dressage Development Coach include assisting and advising on setting and tracking targeted key performance indicators for the Development Program and its athletes and their personal trainers, leading and implementing the Developing Program itself, strategic planning and guidance for the athlete/horse combinations, coordinating educational opportunities for the athletes, and more. As a USEF (S) and FEI (International) rated (4*) judge, having judged all over the world, there is nobody more suited for this position. “I feel very, very good about where I’m at right now!” Bredahl smiles.
Bredahl grew up in Denmark but has resided in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley in California since 1990. She says one of the best moments of her life was when she won the world cup qualifier in Copenhagen with her Danish family watching as the American flag was raised for her win. Bredahl was a part of the US Bronze medal winning Olympic team in Barcelona, and was also part of the US Silver medal winning team at the North American Championships in 1997.
