Wellington, FL (January 15, 2018) โ€“ The beloved U.S. arena footing manufacturer Premier Equestrian has returned to Wellington, Florida for the winter to sponsor the Adequan Global Dressage Festival, an internationally renowned dressage competition series. True to Premier Equestrianโ€™s nature, the company is once again focusing on recognizing the behind-the-scenes components to a spectacular show season. To do this, the company is presenting the Premier Equestrian Award to riders who contribute to a positive show atmosphere through exhibiting outstanding sportsmanship and horsemanship. The first Premier Equestrian Award winner of the 2018 season is Stacy Parvey-Larsson, of Reddick, Florida.

Stacy Parvey-Larsson owns and manages her own dressage training facility, Hidden Acres Dressage. Her husband, Olof Larsson, is also an accomplished horseman, who often travels to Europe and Sarasota, Florida, as an internationally competitive four-in-hand driver. Parvey-Larsson maintains the care and training of the horses at their farm, as well as of their two-year-old and seven-year-old sons. She happily balances life as a businesswoman, horse trainer, and mother, all with the upbeat attitude that earned her the Premier Equestrian Award.

โ€œI start each day by riding horses in the morning, and then itโ€™s on to homework and cooking dinner after school,โ€ she said. To Parvey-Larsson, the ability to always keep a cheerful outlook stems from the people in her life. โ€œIโ€™ve got wonderful help, and Iโ€™m just surrounded by great people. My father especially is always encouraging me. Iโ€™ve always had a great support system. I know that even when Iโ€™ve had a bad day, I have to keep my chin up, keep going, and try harder. Iโ€™ve also been surrounded by good coaches since I started riding at five years old.โ€

Good coaching has certainly paid off in more than helping Parvey-Larsson grow as a person; sheโ€™s also grown into an impressive rider in her own right. โ€œI have a couple special sales horses right now,โ€ she said. โ€œI have an 11-year-old schooling the Grand Prix, and a five coming six-year-old schooling Third Level.โ€

This season, Parvey-Larsson is introducing her 14-year-old Hanoverian stallion, Benidetto, (Cordob x Crispy Sweet) to the prestigious Wellington show rings for the first time. The pair competed in the FEI Grand Prix 3* this past week, when Parvey-Larsson won the Premier Equestrian Award. โ€œItโ€™s been a fun journey with him,โ€ she said. โ€œHe came to me as a Second Level horse, and I put the changes on him and started out in the FEI show classes, and built him up to the Grand Prix. Heโ€™s been a real game changer for me.โ€ Parvey-Larsson is excited to continue the season with Benidetto, and is proud to already have an award under her belt. Premier Equestrian congratulated her with a commemorative ribbon and silver trophy for being an excellent representative of good sportsmanship and positive mentality.
