Groomer Features
The SportMaster arena drag is designed for on-the-fly adjustments, tight turns, and superior high-speed stability to keep your events running smooth. The agile turning hitch and base-protective ground-engaging components enable operators to hydraulically adjust, reset, and finish footing for perfect consistency, all from the seat of the tow vehicle. The proprietary auto-locking hitch centers and locks automatically once lifted, ensuring hassle-free entry and exit from arenas.
3-Point Auto Locking Turning Hitch
The auto-locking turning hitch allows the SportMaster to precisely follow the tractor up to 25+ degrees of swing around jumps, rails, and tight corners. The self-locking hitch enhances safety and reduces hassle when transitioning between arenas by automatically locking in place when lifted.
The swivel hitch functions like a ball connection hitch when engaged, allowing the drag and tractor move independently to prevent washboarding the footing surface as you exit the arena.
Ground-engaging components are designed to break up, dig, mix, fluff, smooth, and compact horse arena footing. Each component is independently adjustable. Change the surface tension in your arena as desired.
Once you have a configuration for everyday use, lock the tool to count on consistent, repeatable results, no matter who’s in the driver’s seat. Adjust the components as needed when you need to re-mix the additives in your footing or change the surface tension for conditioning your horses.
Scarifiers
Base-protective scarifiers provide precision, control, and maximum power to loosen hard, compacted arena footing materials. Available in a hydraulically adjustable configuration, the rigid scarifiers can be adjusted quickly on the fly. Facility managers and operators can pre-set conditioning and loosening levels, ensuring better consistency and precision in arena surfaces no matter who is driving.
Coil Tines
The SportMaster has two offset rows of coil tines, and each tine has two contact points instead of one. Adjust the tine angle incrementally. The passive position maximizes the coil tines’ ability to fill in grooves and press down large fibers that have risen to the top. In the active position, the coil tines aerate, mix, and level the arena surface.
Bar Style Finishing Roller
Rollers provide stability, compaction, and prevent scarifiers and tines from digging too deep into the surface. The twisted rod design maximizes packing, prevents trailing, minimizes bounce, and creates a firm and elegant finish to your arena surface.
One roller comes standard on the SportMaster arena drag. There is an option of an additional front roller to gain better stability and further reduce bouncing.
FarmFlex Style Finishing Roller (Optional)
Tailor your SportMaster to your unique needs or grooming approach with the optional FarmFlex style finishing roller. This roller effectively presses down on the footing material, sealing in moisture to provide an elegant, consistent finish for your arena.
Hydraulically Controlled Press Plate (Optional)
Enhance your riding surface with the optional hydraulically controlled press plate. This press plate evenly applies pressure to smooth and lock in the ideal footing consistency during grooming. By adjusting the press plate to the desired depth and firmness, you can achieve the perfect footing finish tailored to various riding disciplines.

Activated by a hydraulic system, the flip-stop enables swift, effortless adjustments for wear, providing 8 inches of feed adjustment without the need to modify each individual scarifier.
