Parker, CO (July 7, 2015) — Three equestrians and their four-legged partners jumped to first place in the Premier Equestrian 1.10m Training Jumper Division during the first few weeks of the 2015 Summer in the Rockies show series at the Colorado Horse Park in Parker, Colorado. Premier Equestrian is proud to congratulate winners Stacey Swink, Phillip Dreissigacker, and Ashley Buchanan on their superb rides.
Premier Equestrian, accustomed to sponsoring top equestrian competitions such as the 2015 Reem Acra FEI World Cup Dressage and Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Finals and the 2010 Alltech World Equestrian Games, is happy to spend the summer sponsoring the Colorado Horse Park’s jumper division and watching outstanding jumpers excel.
During Week 1 of the Summer in the Rockies series, Phillip Dreissigacker claimed the first victory of the season in the Premier Equestrian 1.10m Training Jumper Division. Dreissigacker, trainer of In Deo Acres in Parker, Colorado, sprinted to first place with his mount Ravissant, a fourteen-year-old Danish Warmblood mare. Dreissigacker described Ravissant as “sweet, but all business in the jumper ring.” When it comes to successful riding, Dreissigacker is all business, as well— he has trained with Olympian dressage rider Jessica Ranshausen, show jumping extraordinaire George Morris, and cross-country trainers Michael Page and Denny Emerson.
Week 2 brought equally high talent to the mountain show series. Winner of the second Premier Equestrian 1.10m Training Jumper Division, Stacey Swink, was thrilled to claim victory in her home state. “We are from Colorado and have always enjoyed showing at the Colorado Horse Park. The new design of the ring seems to ride a little easier, and the sponsorship of Premier Equestrian is appreciated to encourage more competitors and even better shows,” Swink said. She and her mount Neli, an ex-Grand Prix Warmblood mare owned by Bjorn Ikast, jumped flawlessly through the course. “Neli is very competitive and I was happy to see that she still gets excited when she knows she has won,” explained Swink.
The third week of the show series brought the youngest winner of the Premier Equestrian 1.10m Training Jumper Division. Eleven-year-old Ashley Buchanan rode the nine-year-old Oldenburg mare Saterland, who was imported by Nancy Gooding before being purchased by Ashley’s mother Kristen Buchanan. “I was proud of that class being my first 1.10m on Saterland,” smiled Buchanan, who trains with Nicki Wilcox. “I have done other 1.10m classes on my previous horse Calligraphy, but overall I am most proud of my horse Saterland and how well she jumped for me.” Although young, Buchanan is already a Colorado Horse Park veteran. “I always have an awesome experience at the Colorado Horse Park. They give me and all other competitors a beautiful venue. All the jumps are great, and the footing makes it that much better.”
Premier Equestrian is equally excited about being at the Colorado venue. “With our headquarters being located in Sandy, Utah, we’re excited to be involved with an event in the west, like the Colorado Horse Park Show Series,” said Kathryn Rustad, Premier Equestrian’s Internal Marketing Director.
The Colorado Horse Park’s Summer in the Rockies show series provides opportunities for equestrians like Dreissigacker, Swink, and Buchanan to fulfill their passions in the competition ring. “Premier Equestrian is dedicated to the partnership that exists between horses and riders and the need for horse sports.” Rustad adds. “These facilities allow more areas of the country to attain a higher level of horse showing, and the show series is conscious about the health and safety of horses and riders.”
