Brandon, Manitoba (September 26, 2017) – Bob Bennett, owner of Three Oaks Arabians & Training Center, wrapped up his 2017 show season in style as the most recent recipient of the prestigious Premier Equestrian Award, an honor presented by leading footing and arena company Premier Equestrian to individuals who exemplify exceptional sportsmanship, horsemanship, and commitment within the equestrian community.

Premier Equestrian, the trusted provider of world class arena footing and dressage arenas, presented the award to Bennett at the Arabian Horse Association Canadian Nationals which took place August 13-19 2017, in Manitoba, Canada. Bennett was competing aboard MSU Starta Legacy (Hucks Legacy x MSU Eternity) when he received the award at the competition, which included a commemorative tri-color ribbon and engraved award tray. Bennett and his mount earned a Top 10 finish in the Arabian Horse Sport Horse Under Saddle Open class.

A lifelong horseman and successful trainer, Bennett is also a USEF/AHA ‘R’ Arabian Horse Judge and has trained many regional and national winners in Halter, Hunter Pleasure, Western Pleasure, English/Country Pleasure, Sport Horse In-Hand, and Sport Horse Under Saddle. Bennett owns and operates Three Oaks Arabians & Training Center, a training and breeding facility located in Swansea, South Carolina. Bennett has also coached numerous youth and amateur riders/handlers to regional and national wins in multiple events.

Bennett and the team from Three Oaks Arabians & Training Center brought four horses on the two-day trip from South Carolina to Canada, marking the farm’s second trip to Brandon, Manitoba. Bennett also previously competed in the Canadian Nationals several times when they were held in Regina, Saskatchewan. For Bennett, the highlight of this year’s show was competing with MSU Start Again (Hucks Legacy x MSU Eternity), a full brother to MSU Starta Legacy.

Bennett’s involvement in the equestrian industry began early on in life, when as a child his father took him to visit an Arabian horse farm and, sure enough, he fell in love with the equestrian life. “It spiraled out of control from there,” laughed Bennett.

In 1997, Bennett opened Three Oaks Arabians & Training Center and has been training and coaching ever since. As the 2017 show season comes to a close, the farm is in the process weaning a few foals while gearing up for a new year of shows in 2018.

When asked how he goes the extra mile to put his horses first at Three Oaks, Bennett cited the importance of having a proactive attitude towards equine wellness, always making sure his horses have enough time to relax in order to keep them willing, happy, and healthy.

“We really emphasize good sportsmanship and good animal welfare,” explained Bennett. “We pride ourselves on taking extremely good care of our horses and always making sure they are in top shape and top condition.”

Premier Equestrian was pleased to present Bennett with the award in recognition of his exceptional horsemanship and commitment to equine welfare. Always eager to shine the spotlight on exceptional role models within the sport, Premier Equestrian prides itself on offering world-class footing and arenas that are exceptionally safe, durable, and affordable.
