When people comment on my skin, my automatic reply is still, “Really?”
Here’s why… I never thought of myself as having nice skin. As a teenager I had acne and then, as an adult I got ‘adult acne.’ I cut myself out of photos. Every morning when I woke up I touched my face to see if those horrible things were still there.
Today, at the age of 60, I realize that all those troubles with my skin turned out to be a blessing. My skin problems led me on a journey as I searched desperately for a cure, and what I learned changed my life, and my skin. Quick fixes don’t work and some of them are downright damaging. I learned to understand skin, to respect it, and protect it. I was never going to treat my skin harshly or be lured by a promise in a jar again.
When you want to make a significant change to anything in your life, you need to commit to the whole recipe. For example when you make a cake, if you leave out one of the ingredients – or change it – the cake does not turn out in the way it should. Same you’re your horsemanship: In the Parelli Program, if you only do six instead of all seven of the Seven Games, your results are compromised.
It‘s no different with skin care. In fact years ago, during my professional skin care days, if my client only wanted three of the five things I prescribed to treat their skin, I would not let them buy any of them! I knew what would happen… they would try the product but not fix the problem because they didn’t have the whole recipe. And then they would say the product doesn’t work! Well, that’s because it’s not the product that works, it’s the prescription that is the solution.
I am not interested in selling a product, I am all about solutions.
This is why I want to get you started with everything you need. There is no room for mistakes or omissions. You won’t need anything else to accomplish soft, supple, moisture-protected skin. And then you can simply replenish the individual products as you need them. Oh… and I’m including a beautiful sponge for you too! These French mousseline sponges are the best in the world. I’ve been using them since I was in my mid 20s.
