Premier Equestrian Helps Horses Find their Bravery at the Tryon International Equestrian Center

Tryon, NC (May 31, 2016) — In its continued dedication to supporting the development of equestrian sports across the United States, Premier Equestrian is proudly sponsoring the Tryon Spring and Summer Series at the Tryon International Equestrian Center in North Carolina. Premier Equestrian is the title sponsor of the 0.80m Jumper Division throughout the hunter/jumper show series.

Premier Equestrian— a leading manufacturer of dressage arenas, world-class arena footing, and revolutionary horse jumps— knows that success is built from the ground up. The company greatly values the progression of riding up the levels, and congratulates competitors who have navigated the 0.80m Jumper Division course so far this Tryon Spring Series.

This month, many professional and amateur riders of all ages competed in the Premier Equestrian 0.80m Jumper Division to win blue ribbons. Division winners included Karen F. Wilber, owner and director of Virginia-based KFW LLC equestrian training stable. Wilber earned her blue ribbon on Grappelli, a seven-year-old Oldenburg mare owned by Gail Sonnenberg. Like many other professionals who use the 0.80m Jumper Division to their advantage, Wilber found the course to be greatly beneficial for the horse’s confidence and overall performance in the long run.

“The courses were friendly and well designed, yet still challenging,” Wilber explained. “I appreciate when shows offer smaller height classes because it helps me build confidence not only with new riders but also with nervous or cautious horses. My ride, Grappelli, was a circuit champion in the High Adult Jumpers at HITS Ocala in 2015, and although she competes at a higher level, she likes to have trips in the smaller ring to help her feel brave. It is wonderful when horse shows offer these confidence building opportunities.”

This is Wilber’s first time showing at the Tryon International Equestrian Center since its inception in 2014, and Wilber has been entirely impressed with her experience so far. “The most memorable thing about Tryon is the overwhelming helpfulness of the staff. I have never met a single person who didn’t have a smile on their face; everyone genuinely seemed to be enjoying their job. The show is worth every minute and we will definitely be back this summer to show,” she said.

Premier Equestrian is proud to continue its support of horse and rider combinations of all levels as they compete in the Premier Equestrian 0.80m Jumper Division. Whether it’s a professional rider building up their prospect, or a young student’s first course, Premier Equestrian extends its support in all equestrian’s competitive endeavors.

Premier Equestrian is proud to be a part of the Tryon Spring and Summer Series at the Tryon International Equestrian Center.
